We are committed to providing a child-safe and child-friendly environment, where students are protected from harm and empowered to actively participate in decisions that affect their lives. We have zero tolerance for child abuse or any form of harm and are dedicated to acting in the best interests of every student.
The College takes its safeguarding responsibilities seriously and allocates the necessary resources to ensure full compliance with child protection laws and regulations. We foster a strong culture of child safety across our entire community.
All staff, coaches and volunteers:
Our child safeguarding program is designed to create and maintain a child-safe organisation. It meets the requirements of:
Support for Students
We have implemented an Anonymous Reporting Tool through SEQTA, enabling students to report any concerning behaviour. These reports are reviewed and followed up by our Pastoral Care Coordinators and Leadership Team.
Students also engage in the Keeping Safe Curriculum Program during Extended Pastoral Care sessions. This program equips them with the skills to recognise warning signs and take action to protect themselves.
Schools are mandated child safe environments with legal and procedural requirements for all staff and volunteers. Each member of the College community has a responsibility to understand the role they play individually and collectively, to ensure that the wellbeing and safety of all students is their highest priority.
The South Australian Commission for Catholic Schools (SACCS) requires its schools to implement child safety policies and practices, including child safety education.
