From the Principal

On 21 March, Principals in Catholic schools received notice that Helen O’ Brien would finish her role as Director of Catholic Education on 3 May.

Helen has attended a number of events at the College. She was our special guest and speaker at the 2015 Beginning of Year Mass, attended our Charity Breakfast in 2015 and our Come Home to MacKillop function last year. I thank Helen for her support of College events and her concern for the education and well-being of the children and young people of South Australia.

MMC Drama Club's First Performance

On Thursday 6 April during the Good News Assembly, our new Drama Club gave its first performance. A short comedy play called ‘Mobile Phone Zombies’.

The play tells the story about a girl who goes back in time to save the world from mysterious devices that have turned their devotees into mind-numbed zombies. She does this with the help of a very special weapon; a sonic mascara! The five members of the Drama Club gave an enthusiastic performance and received lots of laughter.

For a couple of the girls it was their first time on stage. We look forward to expanding in Term 2 and working on new, exciting projects.

Teachers Victoria Coxhill and Adriana Sotira
