What an interesting term we have had, as our new normal limited our ability to attend excursions, meet as a whole school, play sport and interact with each other. MacKillop girls and staff have shown their resilience by adapting to different ways of learning and gathering through online Liturgies, assemblies and Zoom meetings. As restrictions have eased over the last few weeks, it has been a pleasure to see the girls back out for co-curricular sport and having our first whole school assembly in over three months!
Next term, we will be able to resume excursions and other related activities. However, our process of obtaining your consent for an excursion will be changing. During Term 3, we will gradually roll out Consent2Go for all permission related events. Consent2Go is an email system that provides you, as the parents and guardians, an email notice of an upcoming event and collects an automatic response from you that gives your daughter permission to attend this excursion. We hope this system will be much more efficient and will reduce the loss of permission notices in the bottom of the school bag! It is imperative therefore that we have up to date medical and personal information for all students.
Early next term, you will receive more information about Consent2Go as we send updates to all families prior to our first permission slips being emailed home. These profile updates will also replace our annual Confidential Information Forms
Next term also begins the process of 2021 subject selection and details regarding the SACE Information Nights for 2020 Year 10 and 11 students will be provided soon. Save the date of Monday 3 August in your calendar, and I look forward to seeing you then.
I hope all our students, staff and their families have a restful and enjoyable term break.
