There was a real sense of excitement and anticipation as we gathered as a whole school for a College Assembly for the first time since early March. Now, at the end of June, we are looking forward to more restrictions being eased and at the same time continuing not to be complacent about the very real dangers of this nasty virus.
We celebrated all that has been achieved this term. We gave thanks to Mrs Swain and Ms Sutton who have conscientiously and energetically fulfilled their Acting roles. We look forward to welcoming our new Deputy Principal Mr Louis De Jager in Term 3.
It has been wonderful to see the girls back at sports training and to see our netball courts filled with students who are eagerly awaiting competitions commencing in Term 3.
I have thoroughly enjoyed taking families on small Personal Tours. Many visitors have commented on how focused the girls have seemed and have been most impressed with the passion that teachers have for their subjects.
Last Thursday it was Genius Hour in the gym. Under the direction of Year 7 Pastoral Care Coordinator Ms Kate Fallon, Year 7s presented their learning and their products. I saw doggy treats, bath bombs, skirts and scrunchies, and that was only a few of the products that the girls had made.
We were delighted to hear that Mrs Miescha Archibald gave birth to Charlotte. Hattie is delighted to have a new sister. We send the family our best wishes during this exciting time.
I hope that everyone has a restful term break and we come back full of excitement for Term 3 and all that JJAMM week and Feast Day has to offer. Some Year 12 students will have their trial examinations in Week 1 of Term 3. Study hard girls not long to go now!
