This term in Year 10 Commercial Cooking, we have been learning many different cooking techniques. One of them was poaching. We poached eggs and pears, and made Eggs Benedict with Hollandaise sauce and poached pears with vanilla custard.
To make this practical challenging and fun, we had a competition to see which group had the best cooked poached egg, and who had the best presentation of poached pears.
Later on in the term we will focus on frying, baking, and braising. We are really excited to learn these cooking techniques!
