SchoolTV - Resilience

Resilience is one of those skills that all kids need and should have. It refers to their ability to cope and adapt in situations when confronted with challenges such as adversity, trauma, tragedy, or even stress. It is essential to their mental health and wellbeing as part of their journey to adulthood. It is a skill that can be learned from an early age through the support of an adult role model.

Opening--Prayer.jpg

Opening Prayer

Dear Lord,

We thank you for the privilege of being a part of the story of our Year 12 students. For the joys they have brought us as we have watched them grow into the confident, determined, exceptional young women they are today.

We thank you for the friendship they have given us, the laughter and stories they have provided us with, the fun times we have shared, the learning they have achieved, their energy, their determination, their camaraderie, their commitment and above all the trust they have placed in us as we have guided them through their time here at Mary MacKillop College.

As this chapter in their life closes and a new one begins, we ask that you scribe your Words of life into their lives. Fill their minds with your thoughts, fill their bodies with your strength, fill their hearts with your dreams. Show them how to use their knowledge wisely, to grant them the faith and courage in their own capacity to make the world a better place.

Allow them to spend their days with purpose and be aware and present to all they have to offer those around them. Encourage them to find fulfilment in their lives through continuing to serve others and help them to remember always that they are MacKillop girls and they will always have a place in our hearts.

Amen.
