Work Experience

The Work Experience Program is undertaken by Year 10 students as part of the Stage 1 Personal Learning Plan (PLP). The program enables students over 15 years of age to gain an awareness of the world of work, an understanding of the changing nature of work, develop employability skills and investigate possible career pathways related to their interests and personal goals.

Students in this program participate in a 35-hour week of work experience in a business, industry or voluntary organisation of their choice.  They are supported with letters, a resume and an OHS&W orientation program.

We help students to choose their work experience placement, based on the career options they have selected in the PLP.
