Year 12s - Are you interested in studying Medicine or Oral Health in 2019?

Students interested in studying either of these courses, at any University in Australia, should make an appointment to see Mrs Swain this term to discuss enrolment in the UCAT. (University Clinical Aptitude test)

Queensford College are having a  mid year intake for the following courses :

  • Certificate 3 in Business, commencing 15 July, Tuesday night plus full days during July and October holidays
  • Certificate 3 in Early Childhood Education & Care, commencing July Monday night plus full days during July and October holidays
  • Certificate 3 in Fitness, commencing 15 July, Wednesday night plus full days during July and October holidays
  • Certificate 3 in Hospitality, commencing 15 July, Wednesday night plus full days during July and October holidays

University of Melbourne – Information day for Interstate Students.

The University of Melbourne would like to invite students to attend an Information Day for Interstate Students at their Parkville campus on Monday 15 April from 8:30am – 6:00pm. 

The day will focus on aspects of the university that are of greater concern to interstate students such as the application process, scholarships, student services, accommodation options and financial assistance. Participants will have an opportunity to ask current University of Melbourne students who have come from interstate about their experience and how they managed the transition. The program will also include a campus tour followed by a free lunch at one of the residential colleges and a college tour.

Free radio broadcast training program through YouthFM

YouthFM is a joint initiative of the City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters, City of Burnside, City of Prospect and Town of Walkerville, and is run in conjunction with Three D Radio.

About YouthFM training
YouthFM radio broadcast training leaves participants with a toolbox of skills, which could assist to launch them into the workforce. It is ideal for young people interested in careers in journalism or media, or for those wanting to increase confidence, communication and technical production skills.

Who can apply
Students aged 15 -24, who live work or study in the Cities of Norwood Payneham & St Peters, Burnside and Prospect or the Town of Walkerville.

What's involved
The program includes formal training and hands on experience through the production of a live to air radio program broadcast at Three D Radio 93.7.

Key dates
Applications close: Monday 1 April
Training starts: Thursday 4 April

Certificate 3 in Screen & Media – Visual Effects

 Marden Senior College are offering a last chance to enrol students into their new VFX (Visual Effects) course.

 Enrolments will be accepted until mid-March with a start date of Thursday 14 March.

Classes are Thursdays: 8.45 am – 3.30 pm and Wednesday: 4.30 pm – 7.30 pm (Semester 1 only)
