This Careers and Pathways bulletin will be sent to students fortnightly via email, in the school newsletter and will also be available on the Career’s Portal Page on SEQTA

Students can obtain further information about careers and pathways from the careers noticeboard or from the brochures available in the upstairs corridor.

VET Courses through Minda SA

South Australian Learning Centre has some spaces still available for the following courses! Please let me know if you might be interested in these courses for 2019.

  • Cert III Community Services (delivered at Disability Choices, Elizabeth)
  • Cert II Horticulture (delivered at Gawler District School)

VET Courses at Queensford College

Queensford College based in the Adelaide CBD have vacancies in the following VET courses commencing this term: Certificate 3 in Micro Business Operations on Wednesday evenings 4pm – 7pm, Certificate 3 in Early Childhood Education & Care on Tuesday or Wednesdays 4:00pm- 7:30pm, Certificate 3 in Individual Support ( Aging) on Wednesdays 4:00pm- 7:30pm and Certicate 3 in Fitness on Monday or Tuesday 4pm – 7pm.

They are also commencing new intake in May for Certificate 3 in Business on a Monday from 4pm – 7pm and Certificate 3 in Hospitality on Tuesday from 4pm – 7pm


Short Courses at Queensford College

Queensford also run short courses in First Aid, Barista, Manual Handling and Responsible Service of Alcohol. These can usually be completed in 1 day with some online readings. Please see Mrs Swain for dates and details.

There is also a holiday course this April for a Certificate 3 in Hospitality. This is run over 4 days with some online reading too. The course also gives a student 20 Stage 2 SACE credits.
