The school year has begun with a sense of excitement and anticipation as new MacKillop girls and their families join the school community. With ritual, tradition and welcome, all students and staff have settled into the daily routine of early rising, love of learning, friendships and fun.
Our Swimming Carnival on Friday was a fabulous success with Tenison winning the championship this year and Flora taking home the Spirit Cup. The Year 7 and 8 girls took to the pool at every possible moment and brought a new sense of excitement to our carnival. Many thanks to all who made the event so memorable, colourful and fun.
This week, we will celebrate our Beginning of Year Mass and Dux Assembly. Our 2018 Dux, Emily Furno and Proximae Accessit, Stephanie Keenihan will be presented to the school community along with the high achiever recipients. This is an important gathering for our school community where we mark both the beginning of our learning journey and celebrate academic excellence. We look forward to celebrating with the whole school community.
