From the Deputy Principal

Today, we held our Good News Assembly and it was an hour of stories, inspiration, laughter and celebration.  Led by members of the Student Leadership Team, we acknowledged Reading, Mathematics, Poetry, Visual Art and Science. The Sports Captains promoted our Swimming Carnival and Maddie delighted us with a solo performance on the piano. Sarah Fox spoke about donating her hair to make children’s wigs and the Social Justice Captains, Adriana and Aimee reminded us to walk for the homeless in tomorrow’s Walk a Mile in My Boots. The Wellbeing Ambassadors provided a year level report on the CROPS values and we learnt that our school day in 2019 will have a new structure. Ms Del Corso inspired the girls to think about gender equity and Mrs McGuigan spoke passionately about care for others, especially the most marginalised people in our community. The assembly was a reminder that schools are rich with opportunities to learn, in and out of the classroom and indeed, we are fortunate to have the support of excellent teachers who inspire the girls to do wonderful things.

For the Year 10 and 11 students, the time has come to sit exams and conclude 2018. Year 8 and 9 students have final lessons and the Asian Adventure to look forward to, along with a trip to the movies. As the end of the year approaches, I remind all families of the invitation to attend the End of Year Mass and Awards Ceremony on Tuesday 4 December. We look forward to giving thanks for a year of rich blessings.
