From the Deputy Principal

Last week, we enjoyed the good company of students from Rostrevor College as we celebrated the Collage of Migration. This event is indeed a highlight on the school calendar as we delight in hearing the stories of grandparents and parents who migrated to South Australia. Through testimony, we heard the courage, bravery, vision, tenacity and hope of a number of immigrants. The students welcomed us and spoke to us in Italian and we, of course, delighted in some traditional Italian cakes and pastries. It was wonderful to have the two schools come together to acknowledge our past and celebrate our future.

Our 2019 Year 7 and Year 8 Parent Information evenings provided us with the opportunity to share some important ‘first day information’ to all our new students and families. We look forward to the upcoming Transition Days for both year levels. This is an opportunity for new students to get their final taste of being a MacKillop girl before they pop on their uniform for the first official time.

As the final term unfolds, I bring your attention to some important dates for all year levels:

Each of the above events are important and information related to each one can be found by clicking on the link provided.

We hope to see you at our Year 12 Art Show on Friday 9 November, 4.00pm-6.00pm (tomorrow evening) in the Conference Room.

There is much news to share in this newsletter with a highlight being the Spring Poetry Anthology shared by Mini Del Corso. Read her article to find yourself impressed by the words of our girls.
