Time to say good bye
Every year, we tell the Year 12 cohort that their last year will go by in a blink of an eye. Indeed it has and we are sad to see them go. We know that they are ready to leave, to do those final exams and cast off their MacKillop uniform and enter that next life stage. We wish them every blessing, and may St Mary of the Cross MacKillop guide them through the years.
A warm welcome back to all students and staff for this final term of 2018. In particular, we welcome back Joe Alvaro and Sharon Howson from their leave.
At the last assembly, I spoke to the students about attitude and the importance of a positive attitude. We all have our ‘less than 100% days’, however it is important that we get up and get moving, we have good routines, we plan and set our goals for the future.
Thank you to Kate Marks and the Sports Captains for their superb organisation of the 2018 Sports Evening. Our guest speaker Georgie Parker was inspiring and our own students gave insights into the demands of elite sports. It was just the motivation we need to get us all moving!
