From the Deputy Principal

Today we celebrated our Good News Assembly. We heard about the South Australian Prayer Breakfast and the story behind the 'Thank you' products. Four MacKillop girls will attend Space School in Texas at the end of the year, and today, they shared their excitement and plans for this upcoming and amazing opportunity. We heard the beautiful sounds of our senior ensemble and took some time to think about our wellbeing over the holidays. As always, the girls gathered with gratitude and appreciation as we acknowledged the life of the College outside of the classroom. The assembly concluded with the Year 12 girls receiving their commemorative jumpers. There was great joy.

Today, Year 10 families would have received a letter via SEQTA regarding the future of the College Formals, with next year being the final Formal for Year 12 students. Our College Formal from 2020 will only be held for Year 11 students. This decision has been made based on a number of factors, specifically the need for a focus on study at Year 12.

Students will no doubt be looking forward to the mid semester break. Over the next two weeks, I ask the girls to please check their summer uniforms are ready for the summer terms. I thank the girls for their contribution to school life and look forward to the final term with great anticipation as we farewell our Year 12s and welcome our newest MacKillop girls.
