On Friday 1 June, the Year 10 Environmental Studies class attended an excursion to learn about the coastal management strategies undertaken along Adelaide’s metropolitan coastline. They started the day at St Kilda Mangroves and finished at Brighton beach.
Students investigated the importance of a variety of different coastal systems and the changes that have taken place over the years. Students also learnt that management of our fragile coastal environment is essential to maintaining ecological and economic assets.
Thank you to Mrs Attwood and Mr Iannace who provided the Year 10 students with invaluable information and wisdom.
