As a school community, we are very proud of the academic achievements of the Class of 2017. One hundred per cent of the cohort were successful in achieving their SACE Certificate. Ninety-eight per cent of those who applied through SATAC were offered a place at University, with 80% being accepted into their first preference. Eight per cent applied to TAFE. We warmly wish all the graduates of 2017 every success for the future.

The Dux of the College for 2017 was Caitlin Rench. Caitlin achieved an ATAR of 96.75. Proxime Accessit was Michaela Matthews. Michaela achieved an ATAR of 96.1, and was closely followed by Loren Giacomelli, who achieved and ATAR of 95.35. Two Merits were achieved by Elicia Baldwin and Nyllah Danesh for their work in the Research Project.

The Class of 2017 achieved:

  • Eight  A+ grades,

Thus, 39.7% of all grades attained were A's.

Overall, 89% of all grades were A's and/or B's. This is an outstanding achievement.

Seventeen students or 23% of the Class of 2017 attained an ATAR above 90, which places them in the top 10% of the state. A further 18 students or 24% of the cohort achieved an ATAR between 80 – 89. Therefore, 47% of our students received an ATAR that places them in the top 20% of the state. Seventy-three per cent of our students attained an ATAR over 70, which places them in the top 30% of the state.

I would like to personally and publicly thank all our staff for their commitment and professionalism and to the families for their support and guidance which has enabled our Year 12 students to achieve such outstanding results. Once again, congratulations to the Class of 2017. As a community, we wish them all the best in the future.
