Technology @ MMC

At Mary Mackillop College, technology is an integral part of student learning as our girls become familiar and competent in the device they use everyday.

In teaching and learning, students bring their own device to access the College’s Learning Management system, SEQTA.

In SEQTA Learn, students are able to see their timetables, access lessons and resources, submit tasks and receive feedback from their teachers. They also can access notices and important school documents. This is supported by SEQTA Engage, the parent portal of SEQTA. Parents are able to access important school documents, view their daughter’s timetable, homework, assessment tasks and results.

Students are able to access the full Microsoft suite of tools and cloud storage through their school account, reducing the need for transfer of documents via USBs and other portable storage. Microsoft One Drive also allows the sharing of files easily amongst staff , students, SEQTA and all devices.

The College has a Digital Hub where students can access school technology to learn to code, use our 3D printer, create movies with a green screen and create STEM inspired projects in our maker space.

These opportunities allow our students to become the digital citizens of tomorrow and develop the skills necessary to function in the ever changing world of technologies that is their future.
