From the Principal

Thank you to all students who supported our Open Day on Sunday. We had over 80 girls participate in leading tours, hosting learning areas, performing and playing sport. Each student did so with confidence, courtesy and courage.

We welcome Year 7s to Art this year as they enjoy working in the environment of specialised art rooms. They have been busy learning about elements of art, in particular line and texture. Their first task was to create a collaborative piece, incorporating these elements into a tricycle. 

NAPLAN Online 2019

This year the NAPLAN testing for students in Years 7 & 9 at Mary MacKillop College will be conducted online. Students will use their own devices to access the testing materials through a locked browser that does not allow them to access any other sites or apps on their device.

2019 promises to be a very exciting and busy year at the Precinct as re-development of the Mary MacKillop Museum has finally begun! It is a hive of activity as demolition is underway, making way for a new exhibition and an interactive and experience. A new addition to the Precinct will be an adjoining café. We’ll keep you up to date as development takes place.

Parents and friends are invited to volunteer in the canteen which is a great opportunity to broaden friendships and enhance the environment for our MacKillop girls. If you are able to join our happy crew of volunteers, by helping for a few hours, from as little as once a month, our Canteen Manager Narelle Matthews would love to hear from you!

The Peer Support program is a long established tradition at Mary MacKillop College and it provides students with opportunities for leadership, personal development and social consciousness

This Careers and Pathways bulletin will be sent to students fortnightly via email, in the school newsletter and will also be available on the Career’s Portal Page on SEQTA

Students can obtain further information about careers and pathways from the careers noticeboard or from the brochures available in the upstairs corridor.
