From the Principal

Last week, we enjoyed the good company of students from Rostrevor College as we celebrated the Collage of Migration. This event is indeed a highlight on the school calendar as we delight in hearing the stories of grandparents and parents who migrated to South Australia.

On Wednesday 31 October, Year 10 students of Italian from Mary MacKillop College and Rostrevor College united in the annual Collage of Migration celebration. Amidst an atmosphere of cultural appreciation, emotional engagement, and musical joy, the Year 10 students saw the fruition of many weeks of research, interviews and preparation in the wonderful oral, aural and visual displays of migrant narratives.

The Robot craze has hit our College! Students from Year 8 and Year 10 Digital Technologies have been experimenting with two different types of robots. The first are ‘Spheros’, small spherical robots which can be programed using a flexible and easy-to-use scripting language.

This term we have another soccer superstar on the rise. We would like to congratulate Year 8 soccer player Elisa who has been selected in the Under 15 Regional Girls State Team. Elisa will be travelling to Fiji in December to compete at the Ultimate Fiji Cup Tournament.

Booklists 2019

Last week, all students received their list of subjects and booklist ordering information for 2019. This provided information outlines how to access the Campion website to complete the order of required stationery and any textbooks or e licences for products.

So their education, their knowledge and their skill may find their true fulfilment as they learn to do your will.

SAETA Spring Poetry Launch

On Saturday 27 October, the South Australian English Teachers Association launched the 2018 Spring Poetry Anthology at Pulteney Grammar School.

During this term, we have joined together as a school community to farewell the Year 12 Students by celebrating a Mass at St Ignatius Church. The students received special blessings from their parents, the Year 12 Pastoral Care Coordinator, the Leadership Team, their Year 8 sisters and our College Chaplain, Fr Stan Lim.
