From the Principal

One of the books that I try to read on a daily basis is Daily Stoic by Ryan Holiday. It draws on the wisdom of early philosophers like Marcus Aurelius, Seneca and Plato.

“Philosophy attracts introverts. The study of human nature can make you aware of other people’s faults and can breed contempt for others. So do struggle and difficulty – they isolate us from the world”.

Prayer for Year 12 Students Undertaking Exams

Loving God,

We pray for our Year 12 students as they prepare to complete their
Secondary school Journey.
Be with them as they prepare
for their final exams.
Thank you for the many talents and gifts you have given them and for the opportunity of an education at Mary MacKillop College.
Help them to use their knowledge wisely and to find a way to make the world a better place, and make life with its problems
a little bit easier to face.
Grant them faith and courage and put purpose in their days, and show them how to serve in effective ways.
So their education, their knowledge and their skill may find their true fulfilment as they learn to do your will.
That knowledge comes from learning, and wisdom comes from You.
Holy Spirit, be present with them today and always in Jesus' name

Amen
