Our JJAMM Week was a time of great celebration and fun with our Feast Day holding all the joy of MacKillop girls and the Sisters of St Joseph. The student leadership body led by the Student Leadership Team organised all of the events that made every lunch time a surprise and M-Factor a stunning success. I sincerely thank all those involved in this splendid week. 

Mary MacKillop Feast Day Mass on Friday 10 August

On Friday 10 August, the College celebrated the Feast Day of Saint Mary of the Cross MacKillop by gathering together to celebrate a Mass in her honour. The theme of the Mass was “Mary MacKillop – A Woman of Justice”.

Social Justice is defined as ‘justice in terms of the distribution of wealth, opportunities and privileges within a society’. However, to myself and Emily it means much more. In accordance with our Catholic faith, we define the term as respect, dignity and thoughtfulness for all, and believe that one’s right to justice should not be debated or withheld by any one person or thing.

The Canteen is beginning to add new and exciting homemade lines. This Friday, we will be selling:

• Beef Nachos with a fresh Corn Salsa $5.00
• Singapore Chicken Laska $5.00
• Chicken Caesar Salad $5.00

Pre-order on Thursday to avoid disappointment.

Year 10 Students Run for the Adelaide Day Centre for Homeless Persons

The Charity Run took place on Thursday 2 August. Students in Year 10 Red, Blue and Green, decided to collect donations from family and friends to support our chosen charity, the Adelaide Day Centre for Homeless Persons.
