On Friday 8 June, the Senior Student Leadership Team hosted the Annual Family Breakfast. It was a delightful morning, and the students are to be congratulated on their commitment and contributions to the event. There was a tasty breakfast, a competitive silent auction, wonderful music and a raffle with so many prizes donated by our MacKillop families.

Refugee Week - Sunday 17 June to Saturday 23 June 2018

A ‘Refugee’ is a person; boy, girl, woman or man. Not a label, but a human being with a beating heart just like you and me. 

On Thursday 14 June, a drama showcase was held in the Mary MacKillop College Auditorium. The showcase featured both the Year 10 Drama Class and the Drama Club. The night started with the Year 10 students showing some of their class work in the style of Commedia dell’arte.

Compassionate God,
No one is a stranger to you
And no one is ever far from your loving care.
Watch over those who are separated
from their loved one and homeland
those who fear persecution
and hope for a better life in our community
May we reach out in welcome
to all those who arrive as refugees
embracing one another so that
together your hope oh God
will be our future
we make this prayer through
Christ our Lord

On Wednesday 6 June, 10 girls visited the University of Adelaide, City Campus to participate in the Young Women in Technology day. Engineering, Computer and Mathematical Sciences (ECMS) were the major focus of the day.
