From the Principal

Our newsletter this week brings much news from around the school. I trust that you will enjoy all that we share. The newsletter is now available in two formats: HTML Version via the link on the College website; and PDF via the Parent Portal on SEQTA.

Not only do we have great sporting success here within our College teams, we also have a number of students who excel in their chosen sport outside of school. We would like to congratulate Year 10 student, Gabriella, who has been selected in the South Australian National Training Centre girls’ soccer team.

The Year 8 Geography students participated in an excursion to Hallett Cove Conversation Park to investigate the landforms created by glaciation and tectonic forces. All had a great day and enjoyed learning new things and experiencing new places.

The Charter for Parents in Catholic Schools SA is one of the Federation of Catholic School Parent Communities' key initiatives.

It acknowledges and promotes the various roles of parents and carers as integral members of our Catholic school communities and partners in the education of their children.

The key statements in the Charter articulate the unique opportunities and responsibilities associated with this partnership.

A framed Charter is on display in every Catholic school in South Australia.

On Wednesday 16 May, the students in the Year 10 Environmental Studies class, accompanied by teachers Mr Iannace and Mrs Gates, attended an excursion called ‘UniSA STEM for Humanity’. The excursion took place at the UniSA Magill Campus, where we participated in three different activities in the Samsung Smart Centre.

Here, you’ll find a range of topics each published monthly with comprehensive videos from leading specialists and organisations.

Parents and friends are invited to volunteer in the canteen which is a great opportunity to broaden friendships and enhance the environment for our MacKillop girls.
