From the Deputy Principal

As the term comes to a close, let us take this time to offer thanks for all that has unfolded over the last 11 weeks. The list is endless and I encourage parents to reflect with their daughters on what they have appreciated, enjoyed or valued about being a MacKillop girl. Hopefully in your conversation, opportunities to offer gratitude arise; least not to you as parents and caregivers of our girls.

Opening--Prayer.jpg

Opening Prayer

Pope Francis often focuses his Easter reflection on the women, who, when going out early in the morning to anoint the body of Jesus, were the first to see the empty tomb.

The women who were Jesus’ disciples teach us to be courageous, to be filled with humility and to be the resurrection and the life for others in our world.

Be the resurrection and the life for those caught in the grip of sin and addiction.
Be the resurrection and the life for those who feel all is lost.
Be the resurrection and the life in churches that believe they are dying.
Be the resurrection and the life for those who know the good but fail to do it, who have not been judged but still judge, who know love but still live for self.
Be the resurrection and the life for those dying of malnutrition and hunger.
Be the resurrection and life for those imprisoned unjustly and those imprisoned justly.
Be the resurrection and the life in the life we share, that filled anew with the wonder of your love and the power of your grace.

Amen.
