From the Deputy Principal

On Sunday 24 September we were pleased to attend the Archbishop’s Awards for Excellence for Senior Students Mass, celebrated at St Francis Xavier Cathedral. Our 2017 College Captains, Renae Albuino and Michaela Matthews are both deserving recipients of this award as they conclude their time in this import role.  We have enjoyed their leadership as they both bring energy, hospitality and fun to the school community.  As they received their awards, watched on by their parents, I felt a sense of gratitude for their work in leading the College. At the same time I found myself giving thanks for our newly elected captains.  We are pleased to announce that the College Captains for 2018 are Izabella Carson and Dominique Pesaturo.

Opening Prayer

We thank you Lord, for this term. For the challenges, the successes, and the mistakes from which we have learnt. God of the ordinary be with us as we spend our time with family and friends. Give us strength and courage to do what is right: to be witnesses of our faith.
Help us to appreciate what others do for us, to give time and effort to help others.
Keep us safe in our activities; give us rest and fun. Bring us back refreshed and ready for a new term.

God, may we always be conscious of you in our lives and through the intercession of Mary MacKillop, we pray that the fire of your compassion will ignite many hearts.
Amen
