From the Principal

A very warm welcome back to Term 2. I hope that you were able to enjoy the sunny weather we had at least in Week 1 of the term break.  During the break I spent some time walking in the Grampians and was thankful that the weather stayed dry at least during the day.

Last weekend our musicians headed to Mount Gambier for the annual Generations in Jazz event. The girls thoroughly enjoyed the experience and managed to survive the colder weather.

Assembly, Attendance, GIJ, ANZAC Garden, Uniform, Saturday Sport

Term 2 has begun with a flurry of activity and learning. We began our assembly last week with the Easter story acknowledging the presence of Christ in our lives and celebrating the joy of the Resurrection. We concluded the assembly with the traditional visit of the Easter Bunny who provided joy of a different kind along with delicious Easter eggs.  The assembly was an opportunity to celebrate excellence in academic achievement, contribution to school life and attendance to school.

Opening Prayer

As we begin our new term with the words of Mary MacKillop, “Gratitude is the memory of the heart”, let us be thankful for the gift of each new day. An opportunity for us to grow in love as Jesus' disciples, rooted in hope by the grace of his risen life we share through Baptism.

Term 1 Sport Wrap up, Term 2/3 Winter Sport, Knockout Sport, Student sporting achievements

When I think back to Term 1 sport, many positive memories arise. From the excellent team work and respect our girls showed  for each other and other teams, the high level of skills that were displayed in Touch Football, Volleyball and Tennis and of course the many smiles and fun times had across all of our teams.
