From the Principal

Our College Music Night was an outstanding celebration of music and song. The girls gathered under the leadership of College Music Captains Ella and Kayla and presented a night of excellence. Parents and grandparents enjoyed the performances and we all delighted as girls took to the stage with confidence and flare. 

After winning the 'Best Emerging Artist' award for the 2016 Adelaide Fringe, my company ‘Time in Space Circus’ was asked to perform our show ‘Non-stop’ at Quindao in China in July. 

Recently, Maggie Chan (College Head Prefect 2006), visited the school and spoke to students about her studies and the career pathway that she has followed since leaving Mary MacKillop College. She also provided some valuable advice to our girls.

Last Wednesday evening saw our main event for the year. Our annual Music Night. The College Gymnasium was transformed into a wonderful performance venue with the help of multi-level staging and elaborate lighting setting the scene.

If your daughter has expressed an interest in Science or is considering further studies in Science or a Science related career, please encourage her to consider applying for a position at either the Science Experience (for Year 9 – 10 students) or the Geoscience Summer School (for Year 9 – 12 students). 

God of Love and compassion, help us to open the door of mercy in our Catholic school communities, in our families and in the world. Let mercy guide our actions and bring us closer to the heart of the Gospel.

That we might live as Jesus with the mercy that welcomes, loves, forgives and calls us to live his Gospel joyfully. We make this prayer in Jesus’ name.

On Friday 2 September the Year 11 students participated in a Retreat Day at The Monastery, Glen Osmond, facilitated by the enthusiastic Youth Mission Team from Wollongong. The Retreat focused on affirming, empowering and restoring human dignity.

Would you like to meet other parents of the College?

The College canteen has a wonderful team of dedicated volunteers who provide an enormous amount of assistance. If you are able to join our happy crew of volunteers, by helping for a few hours, from as little as once a month to weekly or possibly daily, we would love to include you in our helpful team. Helpers are asked to be at the canteen by 9.00am.
