From the Principal

This week I was reminded of what a small world it is. My sister who lives in London told me the story of friends of hers who were killed in the recent earthquake in Italy. Her friends had a holiday home in the region affected. Their teenage children were able to get out but mum and dad did not survive. Thankfully they have an Aunt who is now looking after them. It is a wonderful thing when we have family and friends we can rely on in times of crisis. We pray for all who have suffered as a result of the earthquake in Italy.

Vale Anna De Guglielmo, MMC 1993 - 2001

We received sad news this week that a past staff member Anna De Guglielmo passed away suddenly. Anna worked at the College from 1993 to 2001 in a number of positions. I personally remember the time when I worked with Anna and the school community at St Joseph’s Renmark.

Opening Prayer

Prayer for the people of Italy
God of justice and mercy, we pray for the people of Italy, and the victims of any disaster, any violence, suffering or despair.

Grant them shelter and solace, comfort and consolation, blessing and renewal.

May a world of justice, righteousness and mercy come swiftly to their aid.

Grant them endurance to survive, strength to rebuild, faith to mourn, courage to heal, and devotion to each other.

We ask this through Christ our Lord,

Amen
